Aula - English

Basic guide to Aula

On this page, you'll find a basic guide to get started with Aula. If it's your first time logging in, please note that you’ll get access on the first day your child starts in day care.

The Aula app is only available in Danish. Use our guide with translations to learn about the basic functions. Words written in bold, is the Danish word to look for in the app. The Danish word translated to English is written in italics.

  • Log in with MitID.
  • Fill in the fields:

Under kontaktinformationer (contact information), you can edit:

  • Telefonnummer (telephone number)
  • Email
  • Skift billede (add/change a picture of either yourself or your child).
The picture will be displayed on a screen in your child's daycare, where you check in/out when dropping off and picking up. Adding a picture is optional.

Under Stamkort (personal information), add food allergies, special health information, etc., or give/change permissions for what your child can do.

Icons

At the bottom of the screen, you'll find the six icons:

  • Overblik (overview): General messages concerning the everyone in the entire day care
  • Kalender (calendar): Add events, see which events you've been invited to, and get an overview of birthdays in your child's group
  • Beskeder (messages): Your personal inbox where you can write and receive messages to/from the staff associated with your child's group
  • Komme/gå (arrival/Departure): See section below about "Informing the staff"
  • Galleri (Gallery): View pictures of your child. How often the daycare post pictures may vary.
  • Menu: Display the menu in list form.

Informing the staff

An important menu icon to get familiar with, is komme/gå (arrival/Departure). Here, you can quickly and easily inform the staff without having to write direct messages.

In komme/gå (arrival/Departure), you’ll find:

  • Dagens overblik (Today's overview): Here, you can see what time the child was dropped off and who is picking up and when.
  • Fravær (absence):
    • Sygdom (sickness): Report if your child is sick. Use the grey slider, and slide to the right if your child is sick and at home. Be aware that you must report your child sick every morning until the child is well enough to return to day care.
    • Ferie/fri (vacation/day off): Press the button to make a vacation request.
    • Ferieanmodninger (vacation request): Here you inform the institution/staff which weeks you child is on vacation e.g., during the summer vacation.
  • Tider (time): Add the time when your child is dropped off, who is picking up and the time the child is picked up. This can be done several months in advance. You can have the app repeat a week, so you don't have to enter the same information again.
  • Henteansvarlig (pickup responsibility): Add names to those who pick up your child e.g. the child’s grandparents.
  • Åbningstider og lukkedage (opening hours).

From daycare to graduation

When daycare and kindergarten are replaced with primary school and SFO, or if your child changes institutions, Aula continues as your communication platform. If you have multiple children in different institutions or primary schools, you can see them all in the same screen and only need to log in once.
